Lime Kiln Red Wharf Bay
Set in a beautiful location with spectacular views over Red Wharf Bay Anglesey the old Limekiln proved to be a major building and refurbishment project. The property had originally been a working Limekiln that had been converted into a domestic property some years previously. An extension had been added to the old building providing for additional accommodation.
The new owners required a sensitive and imaginative approach to the building contract for the refurbishment of the building. The new owners wanted to retain as much of the original features of the old Limekiln and the construction work had to be completed with this in mind.
The building works involved the careful refurbishment of the main part of the old Limekiln that created a spectacular new entrance in the hallway. The building work was challenging and extensive and we cooperated fully with the supervising architects during the entirety of the project.
The construction work provided for the complete revamping of the existing building that had inherent structural problems all of which had to be resolved. As the owners required the refurbishment work to be completed to exacting and high standard.
The overall look of the building was enhanced by the incorporation of folding sliding doors and new external cladding. Outside the project also included substantial hard and soft landscaping. The entire building project for the refurbishment and enhancement of the building had to be undertaken in effective partnership with the new owners and by working closely with the supervising architects.
