This was a construction contract for the complete refurbishment of a two-storey terraced property and the construction of a two-storey extension to the rear. There were particular problems associated with the building contract that required considerable expertise.
The building site offered limited access to the rear that meant all building works had to be accessed through a narrow passageway. The two-storey extension included a large glazed canopy over the kitchen dining area bringing substantial additional light into the main building.
The property was dilapidated before the present owner acquired it and as a result required a complete refurbishment. This involved rewiring and re-plumbing as well is completely redecorating the property.
All building work was completed to the required standards of the owner and satisfactorily completed under the supervision of the architects. The property is in a conservation area and therefore we had to draw on our background and experience to manage the project successfully.
Project period 6 months
“Building work is always a nightmare, especially when your house is an old property in a conservation area. Having someone to project manage the build was therefore essential for me. Rowyn construction kept me in touch with what was going on every day and always found solutions to any problem that we encountered.” Miss S Scanlan
